Eat Nutritious Healing Food and Live Longer- Part 2

Here are some suggestions of common food items that could aid in controlling the medical conditions noted below. Please use these at your own discretion and according to your personal preferences and medical condition.

1)      To prevent Cold and Flu:

Eat:        Apricot, Oyster, Cantaloupe, Orange, Garlic, Straw berry, Guava, Water, Chicken Soup, Turmeric, Currents, Pineapple, Beef, Lamp, Turkey, Beans, Barley, Pumpkin, Sweet Potato, Kale, Spinach, Broccoli, Capsicum (chili).

Avoid:   Milk and other dairy products.


2)      To prevent Constipation:

Eat:        Prunes, Raisins, Apricot, Brown Rice, Oat with bran, Water, Broccoli, Apple, Avocado, Beans, Blueberry, Cabbage, Carrot, Figs, Flax, Peaches, Okra.

Avoid:   Food that have little or no fiber, Pastry foods, White flour and oil, Cola, Soda.


3)      To Prevent Diabetes:

Eat:        High Fiber Cereals, Vinegar, Dark Raisins, Peanut Butter, Oranges, Oatmeal, Figs, Liver, Tuna, Grape Fruit, Artichoke, Avocado, Flax, and Barley, Blueberry, Brown rice, Cinnamon, Garlic, Fish, Whole grains.

Avoid:   Candies, Sugary food, refined grains and flour. Fruits with high sugar such as mango etc. Cola, Soda.

4)      To maintain weight control :

Eat:        Brown rice, Beans, apple, Cucumber, Salmon, Tuna, Celery, Grape fruit, Winter squash, Apple, Banana, Straw berry, Ice berg lettuce, Skim milk (0% ), Lean meat, Whole wheat and grain bread.

Avoid:   Food high in saturated fat, refined sugar, Pastry food, Coconut, Alcohol, Sugary Soft drinks, Red Meat, Coal, Soda.


5)      For a healthy heart:

Eat:        High fiber cereal, Wheat germ, Olive oil, Canola oil, Oranges, Tomato, Spinach, Broccoli, Tuna, Salmon, Brown rice, Apple, Apricot, Avocado, Blue berry, Cantaloupe, Carrot, Flex, Cherries, Chest nut, Fig, Cranberry, Currents, Garlic, Grape fruit, Grapes, Green tea, Guava, Lemon, Mushroom, Okra, Onion, Parsley, Peanut, Pumpkin, Pumpkin seed, Straw berry, Walnut, Water melon, Pomegranate, Mung  beans, Nectarine, Papaya, Soya Products, Turmeric.

Avoid:   Food high in saturated fat, Whole milk dairy products, refined sugar, Cola, Soda.


6)      To prevent Heart burn and indigestion:

Eat:        Brown rice, Whole wheat bread, Chili pepper, Garlic, Ginger, Yogurt, Artichoke, Oat bran, Barley, Cinnamon, Turmeric. (Chew well and eat small portions of food)

Avoid:   Tomato, Orange, Grape fruit, Pine apple. Fried food, Tea, Coffee, Cola, Soda,     alcohol.


7)      To Prevent High Blood Pressure :

Eat:        Whole wheat bread, Banana, Garlic, Flex seed, Prune, Broccoli, Mackerel, Orange, Canola oil, Peas, Beans, Apricot, Peach, Spinach, Sweet potato, Avocado, Figs, Okra, Turnip green, Salmon, Walnut, Beetroot, Mushroom.

Avoid:   Red meat, Saturated fatty food, Salt, Alcohol.


8)      To prevent High Cholesterol:

Eat:        Oat bran, Barley, Wheat germ, Wall nut, Onion, Cranberry, Spinach, Apple, Avocado, Garlic, Kale, Beans, olive oil, Tuna, Mackerel, Salmon, Peas, Celery, Carrot, Fig, Artichoke, Guava Fruit, Mush room, Prune, Straw berry, Yogurt,

Avoid:   Food high in saturated fat, Whole milk dairy products, red meat.


9)      To enhance immune system:

Eat:        Currents, Current juices, Fish Omega-3, Garlic, Orange, Salmon, Oatmeal, Flax seed, Blueberry, Black beans, Wheat bran, Cabbage, Pomegranate, Green tea, Kiwi, Tomato, Spinach, Green pepper, Mushroom, Yogurt.


10)   To prevent Memory loss:

Eat:        Barley, Blueberry, kale, Beets, Avocado, Asparagus, Strawberry, Olive oil, Canola oil, Liver, Oat meal, Tuna, Pomegranate, kiwi, Brussels sprout, Wheat bran, Brown rice, Grapes, Leeks, Beans, Almond, wallnut, vallarai.

Avoid:   Food high in saturated fat, Whole milk dairy products, red meat.


11)   For healthy kidneys:

Eat:        Water, Skim milk, Lemonade, Fig, Avocado, Potato, Sardine, Banana, Broccoli, Beans, Prune, Prune juice, Barley, Grape fruit, Rice bran, Yogurt, Oatmeal, Wheat bran, Tomato cherry.

Avoid:   Spinach, Beet, Drum stick, Animal protein, Salt, Food high in Oxalates.

12)   To Prevent Osteoarthritis:

Eat:        Apple, Pears, Strawberry, Orange, Grape fruit, Raisins, Skim milk, Ginger, Turmeric, Parsley, Water, Kiwi, Okra, Fish, Cherry, Almond, Sweet pepper, Lime, Nectarine, Mushroom, Sardine.

Avoid:   High fatty food, Sugary food, Red meat, Cola, Soda.


13)   To Prevent Osteoporosis:

Eat:        Kale, Bokchoy, Banana, Milk, Almond, Apricot, Orange, Strawberry, Potato, Tea, Collard green,  Yogurt, Sardine, Honey dew melon, Red pepper, Grape fruit, Blueberry, Broccoli, Salmon, Mushroom, Brussels sprout, Cabbage, Avocado, Lettuce.

Avoid:   Salt, High Protein food in large amounts.


14)   To prevent Rheumatoid Arthritis:

Eat:        Mackerel, Tuna, Salmon, (omega-3), Olive oil, Pumpkin seed oil, Flax seed, Grapes,  Ginger, Turmeric, Water, Peanut, Mushroom, Cherry, Blue berry, Red Grapes, Cranberry, Crab, Spinach, Sunflower seed, Almond, Avocado.

Avoid:   Tomato, Red meat, Citrus fruits, Legumes, Coffee.


15)   To Prevent Stroke:

Eat:        High fiber cereal, Oats, Banana, Cantaloupe, Sunflower seed, Black eyed pea, tea, olive oil, Peaches.

Avoid:   Saturated fatty food, salt, Alcohol, Pastry food and Control stress


16)   To Prevent Ulcer:

Eat:        Honey, Yogurt, Garlic, Barley, Apple, Prune, Cranberry, Grapes, Olive oil, Sunflower oil, Broccoli, Cantaloupe, Cabbage, Blue berry

Avoid:   Spicy food, Smoking, Aspirin, Soda, Colas and control stress.


17)   For healthy Colon:

Eat:        Oat bran, Beat fiber, Apple pectin, Rice fiber, Fennel seed, Peppermint leaves, Parsley, Prune juice, Fenugreek seeds, Dark green leafy vegetables, Psyllium seeds,

Avoid:   Pastry food


18)   Age related Muscular Degeneration (A M D):

Eat:        Collard green, Carrot, Whole grain, Chicken, Yogurt, Spinach, Corn, Eggs, Soya, and Apricot, Fish rich in Omega-3, Orange, Pepper, Yellow squash, Kiwi, Prune, and Okra

Avoid:   High saturated fat, Red meat, Whole milk dairy product, Cola and sodas.


19)   To Prevent Appendices:

Eat:        Food rich in fiber, Apricot, Peaches, Rye bread, Whole wheat, Multigrain and bran, Oat, Okra, Raw vegetable etc.

Avoid:   Pastry foods


20)   To Prevent Arthritics:

Eat:        Skim milk (0%), Broccoli, Strawberry, Pears, Ginger, Fruits rich in Vitamin C, Okra, Turmeric, Eggs, Grape fruit, Olive Oil, Mackerel, Tuna, Salmon, Pumpkin seed, Flax seed, Peanut, Grapes, Mushrooms, Omega-3, and drink lots of water.

Avoid:   Fatty food, Red meat, Citrus fruits, Coffee.


21)   To prevent Prostrate problems:

Eat:        Tomato, Watermelon, Pink grape fruit, Guava, Pumpkin seed, Broccoli, Cauliflower, walnut, Carrot.

Avoid:   High saturated fatty food, Red meat, Whole milk and Pastry foods.


22)   To prevent Cancer:

Eat:        Broccoli, Cauliflower, Cabbage, Kale, Bokchoy, Turnip, Brussels sprout, Onion, Garlic, Citrus fruits, Strawberry, Blueberry, Cranberry, Green leafy vegetables, Tomato, Carrot, Sweet potato, Red Grape fruit, Guava fruit, Watermelon, Herbs and spices, Ginger, Basil, Rosemary, Turmeric, Parsley, Omega-3, Salman, Tuna, Mackerel, Herring, Flex seed, Walnut, Mushrooms.

Avoid:   Saturated fatty foods, Red meat, refined flour, Sugar, Pastries. Reduce Egg, Milk, Fried foods, Margarine, and Omega-6 fatty foods.


23)   To prevent Cataracts related problems:

Eat:        Apricot, Sunflower seeds, Carrot, Whole wheat, Spinach, Brown rice, Sweet potato, Tuna, Broccoli, Mushrooms, Kidney beans, Peas, Peanut, Turmeric, Cantaloupe, and Low fatty foods.

Avoid:   High saturated fatty foods, Red meat, salt, and Alcohol.
